An ISDN BRI (Basic Rate Interface) is a standard ISDN service that provides two 64 Kbps digital channels, which are simultaneously capable of receiving or transmitting any digital signal such as video, voice or data. Two independent calls can be carried at the same time on one BRI circuit.

An ISDN PRI (Primary Rate Interface) is a high-capacity ISDN service that provides thirty 64 Kbps digital channels over a single 2 Mbps line.

CLI (Call Line Identity) refers to the telephone service that transmits a caller’s number to the called party’s telephone equipment so that it can be displayed when a call is received.

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol and is a technology that allows telephone calls to be made over computer networks like the Internet using packet linked routes. VoIP converts analogue voice signals into digital data packets and supports real-time, two-way transmission of conversations using Internet Protocol (IP).

VoIP calls can be made on the Internet using a VoIP service provider and standard computer audio systems. Alternatively, some service providers support VoIP through ordinary telephones that use special adapters to connect to a home computer network.
